World’s First MBA in Digital Maritime and Supply Chain

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) is making waves in the educational sector with the launch of the world’s first MBA in digital maritime and supply chain. This innovative program caters to the growing demand for professionals adept at navigating the digital transformation of maritime trade and supply chain management.

Designed for working professionals, the 24-month program offers a flexible blend of online learning and on-campus immersion modules. This structure ensures comprehensive learning while accommodating busy schedules. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (minimum 60% marks) and two years of work experience can apply. Selection will involve an online IIT Madras admission test followed by interviews for shortlisted candidates.

The program fee is Rs. 9 lakhs, payable in installments. To ease the financial burden, scholarships covering up to 50% of the fee are available for eligible students. The first batch of this pioneering program will set sail in September 2024.

Developed collaboratively by IIT Madras’ Department of Management Studies, Department of Ocean Engineering, and industry partner i-maritime Consultancy, the program equips participants with the latest digital tools. Students will delve into technologies like the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain to address contemporary maritime challenges and propel their careers forward.
