The Maldives officially transitions to Tradian, the National Single Window platform for trade, marking a major step toward modernising the country’s trade infrastructure.
Tradian will now handle critical trade and maritime processes, including:
- Vessel registration
- Monitoring estimated times of arrival and departure
- Manifest submission
- Selected import and export permits and licenses
- cargo discrepancy
- gate exit
At Tradian, a one-time requirement is needed to register all foreign-going vessels entering Maldivian territorial waters. The registration is approved by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MOTCA), and vessel data is sent to the Maldives Customs Service and Maldives Ports Limited.
Local shipping agents are advised to apply to the portal as they are responsible for the ships assigned to them.
By centralising these services, Tradian ensures that all vessel and trade-related operations, from registration to cargo clearance, are efficiently tracked and verified.
