Module 3 of the UNCTAD Modern Port Management Course, focusing on the Functioning of Port Systems, is currently underway at Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
The module offers participants a thorough overview of essential port management services, operations, and systems. Topics include ship and cargo services, berth allocation, vessel traffic systems, cargo handling, goods storage, and value-added activities.
The programme is led by maritime expert Paul Hayes, with contributions from Capt. Hassan Zareer, Hussain Naeem, Hayyan Rasheed Hussain, and Aishath Shimla.
The course forms part of MPL’s ongoing commitment to strengthening professional capacity within the maritime sector.
