Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has introduced its fourth vessel to begin regular trips to Addu City and GA Koodoo. This announcement was made by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the inauguration of Addu land reclamation project on 4 June.
Speaking of the vessel, Managing Director of MSS, Mohamed Nazim revealed that the vessel has a capacity of 1,500 metric tonnes and can transport about 100 containers. It will operate between Male’, Addu, and Koodoo. He added that it had been traveling for eight years in India and is in good condition.
The vessel has already been purchased by MSS and is scheduled to arrive in Maldives in July 2023.
