Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced an online auction to dispose of abandoned cargo stored at its facilities.
The items on auction include a diverse selection of household goods, construction materials, and other miscellaneous cargo. Public viewing of the items was held yesterday, 6th October. The items can also be viewed online through the MPL Auction Portal.
The online auction is scheduled to commence on 7th October at 14:00hrs and will conclude on 8th October at 14:00hrs. Participants must register and subscribe to the platform in advance, as only verified users will be eligible to place bids during the auction period.
MPL holds regular auctions for abandoned cargo, as part of a broader initiative to clear long-stored and unclaimed items, aiming to optimise space utilisation and improve overall operational efficiency across the harbour facilities.
