Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has extended the deadline for proposals for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) consultancy services for the planned Thilafushi Port Development Project.
Interested parties must now submit their proposals by 9 September 2026 at 2:00pm under procurement reference (IUL)113 PD/1/2026/103.
According to MPL, the project will include port operational areas, buildings, utility infrastructure, cargo and container facilities, a container freight station, workshops, maintenance facilities, security infrastructure, roads and other associated infrastructure.
The MEP consultant will provide engineering services covering the project’s planning, design, procurement, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and handover. The scope also includes coordinating MEP systems with the port’s civil, marine, ICT, security and operational systems.
MPL said the MEP infrastructure is expected to be safe, reliable, energy-efficient and suitable for continuous operation in a marine and industrial port environment.
Proposals must be submitted to Maldives Ports Limited, Port Building, Boduthakurufaanu Magu, Malé.
